Last Day

So our last day was Monday.
We packed up the van,
then headed over to the park for a few hours.
This by far was the best day.
Hardly any lines
walked right on to Tower of Terror.
(lovie that ride)
Kaden was able to meet Woody.

and after years of wanting one... I FINALLY bought this.

 oh and one of these!

Until next time Disneyland. *slight tear*

A Day of Rest

Day 5 - Relaxation

Ahhhh sleeping in.
Headed to breakfast at

The day was enjoyable with heading to
Newport Beach

 Lifeguard Headquarters eh?

We drove around for a bit checking out the sites.

I have always wanted try Sprinkles Cupcakes
Luckily there was one close by
(must of been my lucky scrunchie) (movie quote)
So we partook of the awesomeness
oh.my.gursh. OH MY GURSH
best.cupcakes.ever
We headed back to the hotel
to relax a little more
and then head to dinner.
Last time we were there we found a place called
Po Folks
anyone remember this place?
Wulp, they had one not to far from the hotel
Drove to the destination to found out
it had closed.
BOO!

Day 4 - Chaos

We had a better plan today
which is good
because
Saturday was SOOOO BUSY
Like 2 hour long lines busy.
But as I said,
We had a plan, so the day went a wee bit smoother.

Found out there was a charity walk on Sunday
So we decided to take the next day off.
Here are more pictures of
Our second day in the park.

Kaden was chosen to be in the conga line
in the parade.
(now I know y'all have the Gloria Estefan
song stuck in your head)

(oops here is one that snuck in from day one)

Disneyland!

Day 3
The Happiest Place on Earth

Our day started somewhat early
Our hotel had free breakfast
Win.

Headed to the park.

We were greeted at the main gates
With Alice, The Mad Hatter, Rabbit
and
The Disneyland Band .
Happiness,
lil teary (hush)
Did I take pictures?
No.
Fail.
There were lines to meet the characters
We were able to meet Minnie and Mickey!

The rest of the day was full of fun!

 The first ride...

I bought this cute lil bucket of popcorn
at 9 am
don't judge

.

California.. here we come...

Day 2= more driving.
STILL no pictures
(I told you I failed at taking pictures).
The drive through the canyon was a wee bit nerve wracking.
When there is a cliff to nothingness to the side of you
it kind of freaks me out

We got to our hotel
later that afternoon
where we had somewhat of a view of Disneyland
(could see the top of the Matterhorn)

We checked in.
The hotel was ok.
For the price we paid I am so not going to complain. at.all.
Now, here is where I should have taken a photo.
In front our room were 3 toilets.
Now they weren't there for that long.
In fact, by the time the van was unpacked, they were gone.

As we were driving down, as well as unpacking the van,
we kept telling Kaden about going swimming at the beach.
The weather was GREAT!!
That was for the time being..
by the time we unpacked and changed
we had complete complete cloud cover and the temp dropped about 10 degrees.
Boo
The closer we got to the beach the colder it got.
Double Boo!
So we bagged that idea and did some shopping for our next day adventures.
My nephew was a little bummed.
As were the rest of us.

Day One - Viva Las Vegas!

The drive was long, but fun.
CD's were listened to,
movies were watched.

We drove to Vegas
and spent the night there.

We stayed at The Orleans, which was pretty nice.
2 queen beds in each room?
Awesome.

Now I originally suggested to stay in Primm (about 30 mins outside of Vegas) because rooms were
REALLY cheap.
That was almost the deal until
my mom read reviews and came across something like this:

"Our rooms were grubby, smelled and were crawling in ants. Long black hairs and stains on the towels. The furniture was thrift store at best and by the next morning we had ants in our bed, in our clothes in our suitcases and our cosmetics. Even on the drive home we had ants crawling on us."\

So.. mom suggested to just stay in Vegas.  Done and done.

We got to Vegas around 6-ish.
Found out the pool closed at 7 (?!)
Boo.
So we ended up just having dinner, playing in the arcade and going to bed.

Can I just say, Vegas has some awesome people watching.

Healing Field

I went to the Healing Field yesterday.
What an amazing experience.
(I have never been)
Not gonna lie, I got a little verklempt
(who me?  never.)

There were some flags that had ribbons
with the names of men and women,
that had died while serving our country.

(I remember driving down this guy's neighborhood,
while visiting a friend, and the streets were
COMPLETELY lined with flags and yellow ribbons)

I am grateful every day for the sacrifice these men and women put themselves through in serving our country.

Eclipse and say what?!

Went to the midnight showing of Eclipse with my mom, sister and niece.

We started the evening with a FOREVER wait at the Village Inn.
Honestly... we ordered a piece of pie, and a meal at 10:30 we didn't get our food until 11:15.
Our waitress was not good and quite frankly didn't deserve a tip!

We headed to the theater where in so many words was CHAOTIC..
but made for some good people watching.

Napoleon Dynamite made an appearance.

I won a Team Edward necklace

and while waiting in line to enter the theater..
I saw this little gem of a shirt.
I know right?!
YES that is a cardboard cut out
STUFFED in her shirt
*face palm*

The movie is REALLY good.
I know I have said that about all of them
but I think this one is by far the best!
Thanks for a fun night!

Children's Museum

Ever been to Discovery Gateway?
If you haven't GO!
This place is hours of endless fun!

Kaden's favorite part was being the cashier.

They also have a full size helicopter on the top floor.
Another favorite!

Swimming Pool

Love my pool.
