Happy Birthday Tot!

Today we celebrated Tot's birthday. She is 4 years old! We went to Hollywood Connection (for everyone that is over 30, it is sort like the 49th Street Galleria, for those of you over 20, The Fun Dome), for those of you don't know what it is. Basically an indoor place filled with kiddie rides, mini golf, arcade games and skating.

The picture below is of the Skating Rink. Oh yes, the skating rink is called Xanadu. I did break into song and seriously almost titled this blog 'A place.. where nobody dare to go. The love that we came to know.... they call is Xanaduu ah uuuuu.'

Buddy kept saying 'skate?!' So sister took him for a whirl.

The people watching here was almost as good as the Fair.. wait who am I kidding.. the Fair is by far the best people watching. I wish I would have got a picture of the older lady on the kiddie roller coaster, all by herself, hands in the air.. WEEEEEEEE!!!! But I guess you will just have to picture it for yourself.

Watched as history was made today.

I watched the Inauguration this morning and couldn't help but become a little 'verklempt'. What an incredible experience it was. Even my, never sit still, nephew sat still for a bit and cheered and clapped when he heard the crowd doing the same.
I am not really involved in politics as I should be. I mean hello Tina, these people are running your state and country. But, in listening to the speech I am hopeful to see what the future brings.

Slight Obsession

It is amazing what you find and come across when you move and start to unpack things. I am now the owner of 28 hair clips, endless supply of purse size tissues and lip gloss.

In one of my earlier posts I mentioned that I have a slight obsession with Bath & Body Works lip shine. Well, I didn't know how bad it was until I started going through handbags. The above picture is what I found in 4 handbags. 4!!!!! This doesn't count the 2 others I have at home in a drawer that haven't even been opened yet.

Now with the lip gloss.... could I possibly maybe pick another color? Well I guess not, because I have 3 of almost the same color of gloss.

*sigh*

Is there an LGAA (Lip Gloss Addicts Anonymous) that meets? Maybe I will start my own. Hello, my name is Tina and I am a lip gloss addict. Everyone together now.. Hello Tina.

But I Don't Want to be a Pirate!!!!

No it's not National Talk Like a Pirate day, but a post none-the-less! I bought a new shirt a while ago. It is one of the mock shirts.. you know with the sweater vest and a "dickey" (did I really just use that word as a reference? And I am not sure if that is even the correct spelling!) sort of shirt under-neath it.. so ok I just revealed my shirt secret. ANY WHO (everyone knows me with stories.. takes forever to get to the point..)

When I was wearing it my cute niece looked at me and said, 'Oh I like your shirt.. you look like a pirate! HEY, you can be a Pirate for Halloween'. She was so cute when she said it that I couldn't laugh. All I could get out was, thank you Tarah, I will have to think about it.

Here's Your Sign...

I noticed this sign in the restroom here at work. The sign states 'Please Wash Your Hands'. I thought to myself ummm last time I checked everyone has been taught proper bathroom etiquette, shouldn't we be doing that anyway and not need a friendly reminder?
Why I didn't notice this sign before, I don't know. Probably because I try not to check my surroundings in a restroom area due to you never know what you will see or come across. Noticing the sign is making me want to use a paper towel to open the doors even more.
